Get model metadata by name.

**Parameters:**

- [**model_name**](https://github.com/thinking-machines-lab/tinker-cookbook/blob/main/tinker_cookbook/model_info.py#L215) (*str*) – HuggingFace model identifier (e.g. `"meta-llama/Llama-3.1-8B"`). An optional `:checkpoint` suffix is stripped before lookup.

**Returns:** A ModelAttributes instance with organization, size, and renderer info.

**Raises:**

- ConfigurationError: If the model organization is unknown.
- KeyError: If the model version is not found within its organization.
